About Ceeisa

Welcome at the website of the Central and East European International Studies Association (CEEISA).

The Central and East European International Studies Association (CEEISA) is an individual-based, open membership organization dedicated to the development of the field of international studies in Central and Eastern Europe. Established in 1996, the CEEISA now represents a stable network of researchers coming from and/or interested in the region.

The Association’s main aims are enabling meetings and exchange of research results amongst researchers from Central and Eastern Europe and enhancing cooperation within the region, so as to secure a more tangible output to the global scientific community. Therefore, besides its regular Conventions, the CEEISA, in cooperation with Palgrave, currently publishes the Journal of International Relations and Development, an independent and internationally peer-reviewed journal in international relations and international political economy, and the Central and Eastern European Perspectives on International Relations, a book series.

The CEEISA is managed on a de-localized basis by the President and an Executive council composed of elected academics based in and/or focusing on the region. The current president of the Association is Stefano Guzzini. Legally domiciled in Ljubljana, Slovenia, the CEEISA also has a Secretariat in Prague, Czech Republic.

The CEEISA is a member of the World International Studies Committee (WISC).
